Not everything you do needs to serve a purpose.
Not everything you do in a day needs to be valuable or productive ....
Not everything needs to be commodified or sold ....
Not everything needs to move us closer to the ethereal ‘there’ ....
Not everything needs to blow minds or change worlds ....
Not everything we do or want to do needs to make sense ....
Nor need a debrief (or self flagellation session) once we’ve done it.
Not everything needs to be extracted and squeezed dry of life or living-ness ....
Not everything we do needs something to show for it ....
Or an outcome or reward attached ...
In fact ....
Many things (ourselves included) can be loveable and valuable and perfect just because they live.
And for many of us, myself included, my life will be summarised not by a perfect still life painting at the end ...
But by a randomly coloured mosaic - that represents all the little journeys I took and all the interests I had. All the relationships I fostered and all the beingness I embodied.
And to be honest, I’m not too sad about it at all.
